About Hop Farm Family Park

Kent’s Hop Farm strives to offer something for every child’s taste. Animal lovers are able to get up close to and even pet a range of creatures from cows, horses and sheep to guinea pigs, rabbits and degus with animal handling sessions held twice a day. If the kids need to release a bit of energy then the farm provides a jumping pillow, an outdoor adventure playground and an indoor soft play area. There’s the Pottery Barn for those that love craft, a formula one driving school for car fanatics, a magic bean factory for magic enthusiasts, a pirate cove, a digger sand pit and even crazy golf.  There are two cafes and a snack bar providing refreshments; however, picnic tables are also dotted around the site should you wish to bring your own food.

Opening Hours

The farm is generally open throughout the summer, plus weekends and school holidays (excluding Christmas school holidays). Check the website to ensure that the attraction is open.

footballSports activities are a fun way of keeping your child fit and active while at the same time teaching them valuable skills. There are several leisure centres in and around Tunbridge Wells ensuring that a wide range of sporting activities is available for you and your family including swimming, tennis, squash, badminton, trampolining, gymnastics and tenpin bowling. The bigger venues also offer more toddler-friendly activities such as soft play and some provide creches should you want to work out in the gym, have a swim or attend one of the adult classes. Discover Nature with the Kids at Broadwater Warren, Tunbridge Wells

One of the many advantages to living in and around Tunbridge Wells is the nature and wildlife  just on our doorstep that is free of charge. Broadwater Warren is a fabulous nature reserve, just outside of Tunbridge Wells, that continues to be lovingly restored by the RSPB you can wander through woodland and open heath, stroll past ponds and spot a rich array of wildlife. While adults will appreciate its beauty, it is a winner for children too. Dog walkers are also very welcome.

We visit the reserve most weekends whatever the weather (while lovely on a fine day, there is nothing more my two kids love than putting on their waterproofs and splashing in the fairly deep muddy puddles!). There are many things to spot on a family walk including dragonflies and damselflies, lizards, impressively large woodland ants’ nests (the kids favourite!), a turret of a Churchill tank, and we even have – on two occasions – spotted wild Exmoor ponies grazing! Suggested routes are clearly marked on the trail (although there is nothing stopping you deciding to explore your own path!) including a nature trail (5.6 km – this may not be suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs) and an all-ability trail (0.7 km).

Broadwater Warren is on Broadwater Forest Lane (which is just off the A26 Eridge Road). There is free parking.
